Studio Ethics

Studio Ethics

  • The studio commits to the highest quality of instruction and to the creation of an environment conducive to the practice of yoga. To help us achieve these goals, please adhere to the following requests:
  • The Ashram is our sanctuary. There are many classes throughout the day, and we want each one to be experienced to its fullest potential. Out of respect to those in practice, we ask that you use soft voices inside the studio. Once inside the practice room and during class we ask that you remain silent.
  • Remove your shoes before entering the room.
  • We ask that you do not leave the practice room once class has started; this distracts the students and disrupts the energy and flow of class. Please note, if you do leave you will not be allowed reentry.
  • Please turn off all cell phones before entering the studio.  We ask that you do not have phone conversations while in the studio.
  • Please take advantage of the changing areas and cubbies. The only items allowed in the practice rooms are water bottles, mats, and towels.
  • In the changing room, we ask that you respect each other’s space and keep the area free of negative talk.
  • A large student base enjoys the changing rooms, so please keep your showers limited to 5 minutes.
  • Yoga is about quality, not quantity. Make 100% effort on all poses but again, pay attention to your body’s needs.
  • Lastly, enjoy your practice. Be grateful for the time you have set aside for self-improvement.
